Stefan Klestil is General Partner for Fintech at Speedinvest, a leading pan-European early-stage venture fund with offices across Europe and the Middle East. He leads the fund’s fintech practice across EMEA and emerging markets, supporting founders with strategy, business development, and corporate partnerships. With over 25 years of experience in international payments and banking technology as an advisor, operator, and investor, Stefan has backed fintech unicorns and category leaders such as N26, Bitpanda, Tide, Wayflyer, Billie, Wefox, Primer and emerging market disruptors like Moove, Abhi, Fairmoney, Khazna, ShopUp, Flow48 and Pemo. His exits include payworks (Visa), iyzico (PayU/Naspers), Holvi (BBVA), cobee (Pluxee), and Koin (Despegar). Since 2018, Stefan has been actively focusing on the GCC region, establishing Speedinvest's Dubai office and team and completing six investments across the UAE and Saudi Arabia. Stefan’s prior roles include President Central and Southern Europe at First Data, Partner at Roland Berger, and Principal at A.T. Kearney, with leadership experience in both New York and Vienna. He holds Master's degrees from Columbia Universityand the Vienna University of Economics and Business.
